Rails and Sails Topps Chewing Gum - 1955
Notes: Train cards have white front borders, while ship cards are borderless. Some (maybe all) of the cards were reprinted and issued with Doeskin Tissues, with wide white borders and the "Doeskin" name. Cards numbered 81 through 130 and 151 through 200 appear to be short-printed, at about half the quantity observed for the other half of the set. Printing defects were fairly common with these cards, affecting value of individual copies. Thanks much to Paul Brautigam for the original list, and to Chris Benjamin's published work and John Knight for some gap-fillers! American Card Catalog reference is R714-17.
