Card Pit Stop

Resources prepared by Nerissa Morgan (Storm); used with permission.

For those of you who are not familiar with Non-sport and Sport card collecting: Sports cards are exclusively sports oriented, and will not be addressed. To a certain extent Collectible Card Games are also out of the scope of this website. But Non-sport trading card collecting (by the way it happens to be one of my favorite hobbies) will be addressed. Non-sport card collecting is a very old hobby, but is new in the respect that chase or bonus cards are using some of the best computer technology to produce interesting and visually interesting cards. Also they are a great collectible to collect! Non-sport trading cards usually have a comic, movie, or hobby theme. If you have any questions please E-mail Jeff (below)!

This part of the website is a card pit-stop information source page for you to refer back to when needing good dealers, web links to non-sport trading card manufacturers, web links to popular magazines dealing with non-sport trading cards or collectible card games, and snail mail addresses for trading card companies if you are in need of more information or to replace damaged trading cards. Also you may want to refer back here for other new trading card resources.

If you ever need to replace damage cards or get in touch with the following companies. I have listed some addresses below.

What to do when you have a Damaged card: It will happen sooner or later: You open a pack of trading cards and a card, or even worse a chase card, is damaged or cut improperly. These things will happen because most trading cards are cut by machine. Don't worry, many companies have a Product Exchange Department. I have called and confirmed the addresses below to be the correct address for returning damage trading cards. A WORD OF ADVICE: Protect your investment! When you return the trading cards to the manufacturer, please ship them back by using a proof of shipment method (Certified, insured mail etc.). Most of the trading card manufacturers indicate that they are not responsible for lost or misdirected mail. Insured mail is in my opinion the best method; if the cards happen to get lost during shipment you will be reimbursed. For every trading card replacement return, make sure you have a list indicating all cards returned. This list should include your name, address, telephone number, the exact card number on each card, and the name of the card if there is one. In addition, make a copy for your records to check against the new returned replacements. If the manufacturer missed a card or gave you a wrong trading card, indicate this and send back the wrong cards or request the correct card(s).
