Beautiful Ships

   Package Confectionery Corp.  - 1933

Notes: Cards are approximately 2-3/8" x 2-7/8", with color artwork on fronts 
and descriptive text on backs. Three back variations are observed:
   [1] This is one of the first-half (24) of a series of 48 picture cards of beautiful ships

          Package Confectionery Corporation - Boston, Mass.
   [3] "This is one of the first-half (24) of a series of 48 picture cards of beautiful ships
          Package Confectionery Corporation - Boston, Mass.
          Return 10 wrappers of Sailor Boy Smokes and 10¢ in coin or stamps to cover
                postage and you will receive a Beautiful Album in which to keep these pictures."
Two wrapper designs hint that this might be considered two separate releases:
   [1] Ship Smokes: Pictures of Ships - United Candy Company - Boston, Mass.
   [2] Sailor Boy Smokes: Picture of Ships - Package Confectionery Corp. - Boston, Mass.
The Package Confectionery wrapper offers:
  -- For 10 wrappers and 10 cents to cover postage, wrapping, etc. you will receive 
          1 Beautiful Album for Ship Pictures or 1 Pearl Necklace (synthetic) or 1 Diamond 
          Ring (imitation) in new Basket mounting.
  -- For 10 wrappers and 15 cents to cover postage, wrapping, etc., 1 Tie Set (clip and 
          clasp) value $1.00.
  -- For 10 wrappers and 20 cents to cover postage, wrapping, etc., 1 Genuine Boy
          Scout Knife.
